Each month, we’ll ask a few questions of the team behind the Campbell Clinic Foundation. First up, our research guru and the one who makes everyone feel special on their birthday, Margaret Knack!
After a couple of adventures teaching orthopaedics overseas, I made the decision to run for elected office. In 2007, I was elected Alderman at Large in the City of Franklin, and in 2011, elected to Mayor of the City of Franklin.
One award will be presented in each of five categories in recognition of individuals’ leadership, service, and contributions to the field of orthopaedics.
The Campbell Clinic Foundation coordinates and funds surgeon education through residencies and fellowships as well as leading-edge orthopedic research, and is committed to lifelong bone and joint health for all through diverse community outreach programs.
UT-Campbell Clinic residency and fellowship alumni are everywhere! They move lives in every way, excelling in patient care, research and innovation, teaching and mentoring, and healthcare leadership.
We added “Clinic” to our name. And we changed our colors. And we have a new tagline. But why? Earlier this year, the Foundation trustees, staff and stakeholders started to consider, “How can we build more awareness and interest in what we do?” After all, the Campbell Foundation has an impressive history, world-class training and continues to push the frontiers of orthopaedic research and patient care.
