“When you find something as unique as the Campbell Clinic Foundation, you just want
to be a part of it.”
As an account manager for McKesson with 30 years in medical sales, Al Gatti knows the impact that well trained, compassionate orthopaedic surgeons have on the community, and he values how the Campbell Clinic Foundation makes that possible. “When you find something as unique as the Campbell Clinic Foundation, you just want to be a part of it.”
It’s important to Gatti to give both his time and his resources. In addition to being a donor, Gatti has volunteered at the Campbell Clinic Foundation’s annual foot clinics for a decade, serving Memphians who are housing insecure or unhoused. He describes the experience as “Always humbling,” and that participation has changed him personally. “It gets you to pick your head up and look outside your circle” and make real connections with people who are often overlooked.
He sees people leave the clinic healthier, in less pain and feeling more comfortable, and with a smile to go with a new pair of shoes. That gives him joy.
Inspired by Campell Clinic physician Dr. David Richardson, who continues an annual tradition established by his father, Dr. E. Greer Richardson, Gatti feels a responsibility to share a spirit of volunteering with his whole family. He encourages everyone to find something they are passionate about and invest your time and money there.
